The experience
Setup through Trezor Suite takes about fifteen minutes including the backup. The screen changes daily use the most: confirming an address on a large touchscreen is meaningfully less error-prone than squinting at a two-button device. Passphrase users benefit most — typing on-screen beats cycling through characters with buttons.
Trade-offs
No air-gapped mode — the Safe 5 signs over USB — and no camera for QR workflows, which the Coldcard Q and Jade Plus offer. Multicoin support trails Ledger for obscure assets. Neither matters for a bitcoin-focused user who signs over USB anyway.
